The SAP® SuccessFactors® Q3 2018 release went into preview on August 18, which means customers have just under a month to test out the latest features before the updates go to production on September 15. This quarter’s release includes highlights in mobile, learning, and recruiting.
SuccessFactors Native Android App
There has been a native iOS SuccessFactors mobile app since 2017, which may have left some Android users feeling out of the loop. Now, Android users have their own app that capitalizes on all the functionality that Android-powered devices offer.
The new app should be intuitive for any regular Android user and includes enhancements to include the latest SuccessFactors developments in learning and continuous performance management.
That means Android users will have the same level of capability as those using iOS, something that should drive user adoption for any company.
SAP Leonardo-Powered Learning
Anything to do with machine learning in SAP going forward is going to be associated with SAP Leonardo—the SAP Cloud Platform-powered innovation engine. For the first time, the Leonardo brand has come to SuccessFactors Learning in the form of machine-learning enabled personalized recommendations.
Yes, that’s human learning powered by machine learning.
This functionality will deliver educational and training content to employees based on factors such as learning history. Employees can also influence the recommendations by choosing specific topics of interest.
In addition to the new Learning by Leonardo, SuccessFactors has also added enhanced multi-language support for documents in SAP Jam, SAP’s collaboration platform. SAP customers commonly use Jam as a house for certain types of knowledge-based content, and the new capability allows for mobile app users to automatically see documents translated to the correct language based on their employee profile.
Recruiting Enhancements
SuccessFactors unveiled Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) in its Q2 release. That functionality has now grown with the addition of e-mail campaigns, allowing recruiters to directly contact candidates and talent pools while tracking the results.
Last quarter also brought Visa and Permits Management to SuccessFactors, and that has been enhanced with new notification features, a new dashboard, the ability for employees to process their dependents, expanded data query export options, advanced cost analysis, and connectivity options for business-to-government activities.
These are just a few of the latest upgrades to SuccessFactors for Q3 2018. For the complete list of updates, customers who have registered can reference the full release information on the SuccessFactors community page. SAP also has on-demand webinars to inform customers on what’s new in every module.
